The First Serbian Elementary School in Canada!

Serbian parents and community in the Greater Toronto Area have joined forces to address a growing concern about childhood education. An ideal school for us has its roots in orthodox pedagogy, has a challenging academic program, and prepares our children to become responsible individuals. Meet the determined team of volunteers behind this initiative here.

We are pleased to introduce Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Elementary School, a registered not-for-profit, full-time private elementary school dedicated to transforming the Serbian community in the GTA, and beyond. We envision a K-8 school that strikes a perfect balance between a robust academic program and enriching after-school activities. Our school will be a place where families can learn and grow together. Situated in the heart of Serbian community in Mississauga, Saint Sava would truly preserve our faith, language and culture.

Our anticipated pre-registration target is Fall 2024, with school grand opening in September 2025. Initially, the school will welcome JK/SK and grades 1 and 2, with plans to expand into higher grades and additional classrooms over time. Read our school story here.
